Sweet buns filled with blackberry jam (Recipe also in English on OPSD blog) This recipe for sweet Swirl Buns makes a soft, buttery dough that's filled with blackberry jam. These really are to die for!

INGREDIENTI
  • 350 g of all purpose flour
  • 90 ml of lukewarm water
  • 85 g of butter, melted
  • 40 g og granulated sugar
  • 3,5 g of dehydrated yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • a pinch of salt
  • blackberry jam
COME PROCEDERE
  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the flour.
  2. Gradually add the sifted flour and knead on a flour-dusted pastry board until you have a smooth and elastic dough.
  3. Give a round shape to it and then, place it in a large bowl. Cover the dough with a rag, or cling film, and let it rise for at least 2 hours in a warm place.
  4. When its volume has doubled, knead the dough for a few minutes and roll it out to form a rectangle of about 30x40 cm.
  5. Spread the blackberry jam homogeneously on the dough and then, fold it in three parts.
  6. Using a knife, cut some strips of dough (approx. 2 cm width), stretch them slightly and roll them up to form some knots of dough.
  7. Arrange the buns at intervals in a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  8. Cover with a rag and let them rise for others 30 mins.
  9. Preheat the convection oven to 180°C.
  10. Bake the buns for about 30 min or until they are golden brown.
  11. Take the buns out of the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack before serving.
  12. You can also freeze your buns for a couple of months.
