INGREDIENTI
250 g of plain flour
200 g of granulated sugar
200 g of butter, melted
50 g of ground almonds
20 g of icing sugar
5 yolks
2 eggs
1 level teaspoon of baking powder
just enough ground anise-seeds
a pinch of salt
COME PROCEDERE
Line a spring-release tin (Ø cm 20) with baking paper.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, beat the eggs, the yolks and the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add the ground anise-seeds and drizzle with the melted butter under constant beating.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and then add the icing sugar, the ground almonds and a pinch of salt. Add a spoonful at a time to the eggs mixture, stirring well with a wooden spoon.
Pour the mixture into the baking tin and bake for about 40 mins. or until an inserted toothpick in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
Take the cake out of the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack.
Spread the cake with abundant icing sugar and… enjoy!!
